Dr. P S Mukherjee is a senior consultant of nephrology at the B.P. Poddar hospitals, Apollo Clinic, Mukundapur, and Divine Nursing Home, Phoolbagan, and the clinical director of nephrology at “OHIO” hospital at Newtown. Prior to this, he had been associated with “Belle vue”, Woodlands, Anandalok Saltkake, and Kothari Medical Centre. He is also the senior, visiting Nephrologist at Kolkata Port Trust Hospitals.Dr. Mukherjee is also a renowned critical care specialist, trained in some of the leading health care institutes in south India, like the UK, and the USA.
Dr. P. S. Mukherjee gained forefront International experience, including ten years in the NHS UK, handling complicated critical care and Nephrology patients in ICUs , ITUs, in some of the world’s top leading centres like Addenbrooke’s Cambridge, Kings College London, and the Royal London Hospital, and before that in Bangalore and the South.
With cutting edge technological and academic exposure, Dr. Mukherjee had earlier worked under world famous luminaries like Prof. Magdi Yaqoob (The Royal London Hospital), Dr. Donal O’Donoghue (Director of National Kidney Care, UK), Dr. Derek Bell (Chelsea & Westminster Hospital), Prof. Andrew Lever (Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge) in acute medicine and Nephrology and became one of the youngest consultants.
Dr. Mukherjee is a member of the Royal College of Physicians UK, (London, Edinburgh and Glasgow), an ALERT Course holder and ALS provider (Univ. of Portsmouth, UK) a fellow of the ACCP (USA), and a life member of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM, Mumbai) and Indian Society of Nephrology (ISN, PGI Chandigarh).
Dr. Mukherjee is well acclaimed as a speaker for his multiple lectures, presentations, and interviews in TV and print media, both in India and Abroad. His patients and close admirers also know him for his diverse range of extracurricular interests and contributions outside medicine, for many of which he has been honoured and noticed at the highest levels, nationally and internationally.
